Traveller terms

CroatianBoats is an independent online marketplace and intermediary connecting travellers with independent boat operators. CroatianBoats is not the boat owner, boat operator, charter company, skipper, insurer, travel agency or provider of the underlying boat rental service.

CroatianBoats collects only the CroatianBoats Booking Fee for facilitating the connection between the traveller and the independent operator. The boat rental price, deposits, fuel, skipper charges, extras, damages and other rental-related amounts are arranged and paid directly between the traveller and the independent operator unless CroatianBoats expressly states otherwise.

The underlying boat rental agreement is between the traveller and the independent operator. CroatianBoats is not a party to that rental agreement merely because it facilitated the booking or collected its Booking Fee, and CroatianBoats does not guarantee the operator's performance.

CroatianBoats may provide marketplace support or help the traveller and operator communicate. Doing so does not make CroatianBoats responsible for the operator's contractual obligations.

The amount you pay on this platform is the CroatianBoats Booking Fee for facilitating the booking. It is not a deposit toward the boat rental and is not part of the rental price.

Once a booking is confirmed, the Booking Fee is generally non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or where CroatianBoats expressly provides otherwise under these Terms.

A traveller who cancels a confirmed booking does not automatically receive a Booking Fee refund. CroatianBoats does not automatically refund the rental price, deposits or other amounts paid directly to the independent operator, because CroatianBoats never received or controlled those funds.

If a duplicate Booking Fee payment is received for the same booking, the duplicate may be refunded without cancelling the legitimate confirmed booking, without affecting access to the operator's contact details and without changing the status of the legitimate Booking Fee.

If an independent operator cancels a confirmed booking, CroatianBoats may provide the affected traveller with a CroatianBoats Rebooking Credit in accordance with these Terms.

A Rebooking Credit is associated with the traveller's CroatianBoats account and can be applied toward eligible CroatianBoats Booking Fees on a future booking.

A Rebooking Credit may be used partially, and any eligible unused balance remains available on the account.

A Rebooking Credit is not automatically a cash refund and cannot be exchanged for cash, except where required by applicable law.

A Rebooking Credit does not constitute reimbursement of the rental price, deposits or any other amounts paid directly to the operator, because CroatianBoats never received or held those amounts.

CroatianBoats may seek recovery from an operator for credits or losses caused by avoidable operator cancellations under the Operator Agreement. That recovery relationship is between CroatianBoats and the operator, and is not a guarantee to the traveller that CroatianBoats will recover any money from the operator.

Cancellations caused by weather, mechanical problems, port or government restrictions, safety issues, emergencies or other circumstances outside CroatianBoats' control carry no promise of a refund. Any treatment of the Booking Fee or a Rebooking Credit follows these Terms and applicable law.

The rental price, deposits, fuel, skipper charges, extras and damages are arranged and paid directly between you and the independent operator under the operator's own terms, including the operator's own cancellation policy.

Disputes about those amounts are primarily matters between the traveller and the operator, because CroatianBoats does not receive or hold that money. We may provide marketplace support or help you communicate with the operator, which does not make CroatianBoats responsible for the operator's contractual obligations.

Genuine reviews and ratings you submit may be shown on boat listings, operator profiles, search results and CroatianBoats promotional materials, including social media and marketing campaigns.

Private traveller information is never published. Reviews are never created, fabricated or edited in a way that changes their meaning.
