Why explore Nin by boat?
Nin is built on a small island in a shallow lagoon just north of Zadar, ringed by sandy beaches that are rare on this coast. The water here is very shallow and warm, and the Zadar archipelago and the island of Vir are within short runs.

A little local history
Nin was the Roman town of Aenona and later became one of the most important centres of the early Croatian state — the seat of the first Croatian bishopric and a royal town associated with the earliest Croatian rulers. Several small pre-Romanesque churches survive from that period, including the church of the Holy Cross.
